The widescreen nüvi® 1350 has preloaded maps from Tele Atlas and Malsingmaps, announces streets by name, guides you to the proper lane for navigation. Also, first launch in Asia, Garmin provides the nüMaps guarantee policy in Singapore and Malaysia. Users will be able to get more valuable products and service from this worldwide number one GPS player from the coming SITEX event.

The latest navigator, nüvi® 1350, with twenty-five percent slimmer than other nüvi® PND’s, you can take it anywhere. With a touch of a finger, you can easily slide the screen to view map details, driving directions, and photos.  Its sunlight-readable high-brightness display ensures you can easily look up addresses and enjoy the navigation even under the sunshine.  You also get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination. Lane assist guides you to the correct lane for an approaching turn or exit, making unfamiliar intersections and exits easy to navigate. No more guessing which lane you need to be in to make an upcoming turn.  Both English and Chinese handwriting recognition feature can access you to find Point Of Interests more efficiently. Nüvi® 1350 also supports multi-languages, such as English, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia…etc. With more than 1400 images, the junction view provides clear direction while close to the complex junctions so that you won’t miss any important exits.

Navigation is just the beginning. Nüvi® 1350 saves you gas and money with ecoRoute — a green feature that tracks fuel usage and more. The nüvi® 1350 will indicate speed limit on major roads and highlight your driving speed in excess of the speed limit. To help drivers adapt to better driving habits. Through ecoRoute™’s Fuel Report and Mileage Report, drivers can focus on their fuel conservation and find fuel-saving tips along the way.

nüMaps Guarantee for Singapore and Malaysia

Garmin also proudly announces that nüMaps Guarantee now is available for Singapore and Malaysia market since 1 Dec, 2009. With this program, Garmin will provide a free update for a customer who purchases a new nüvi® GPS device if both of the following conditions exist:

1.The customer registers the new unit at http://www.garmin.com.sg within 60 days of the unit’s first use.

 2.A newer map becomes available within 60 days after the unit has initially acquired satellites.

If both of the above criteria are met, the customer can request and download the new data, free of charge, by following the simple online prompts.

 

The new model will be launched in conjunction with the SITEX Show 2009 in Singapore with special promotion.
